Lake Lavarone in Trentino on the Alpe Cimbra
Lake Lavarone: the pearl of Alpe Cimbra
A lake of timeless charm!
Lake Lavarone is a small verdant mountain lake born from the remote landfall and still is one of Trentino's oldest reservoirs.
Thanks to the pleasant weather during the summer season, Lake Lavarone is an excellent source of refrigeration as it is suitable for bathing and fishing.
It has two beaches, Lido Bertoldi and Lido Marzari, equipped with umbrellas and deckchairs; Here is the opportunity to rent rowing boats and pedal to sail in the tranquility of the Alpe Cimbra water mirror.
Close to the lake there are several mountain bike routes, on horseback or on foot, and one of these leads to the Prombis rock gym where you can practice sports climbing.
There are many events organized at the lake...in the summer season, we find the walking path, a long walk around the lake, the stongHer where sport meets the female world, the Tri Week Lavarone, a Triathlon racing race, bikes and Swimming, the mirror of the stars, a splendid fireworks show.
Often the lake in the winter is a large ice sheet and is equally appreciated by tourists as it allows to skate safely...The diving school under the ice is one of the events organized by specialized relief groups and where you can try swimming under the ice.
